What changes the number

Shell or kit	Primary frame, secondary framing, and cladding may be included while foundation, erection, and utilities stay with the buyer.
Delivered	Freight to a named point is inside the figure. Unloading and a crane lift plan may still be extra.
Installed	Erection is priced, but slab, anchors, and permits need an explicit yes or no.
Turnkey	More of the interior and services are coordinated. Exclusions still have to be listed or the total is not a total.

Clear span	Removes interior columns and usually increases member size. State the unobstructed width the operation needs.
Multi-bay	Column lines can reduce steel weight and block aisles. Bay spacing is a procurement fact, not a detail for later.
Envelope	Insulated metal panel, liner, and roof clip type move both price and thermal transmittance.
Loads	Design live load, collateral load, wind exposure category, and ground snow load are site inputs. They are not copied from a national average on this page.

Jurisdiction	The authority having jurisdiction decides which code edition applies. A supplier assumption is labeled as an assumption.
Access	Transport envelope, overhead wires, and yard space decide whether a long rafter or a modular piece can arrive.
Quantity	One building and a repeat set do not share setup effort. Say which basis the optional budget uses.
Currency	Keep USD, or another currency you name, consistent before ranking replies.

Open choices before you accept an alternative

Specification

Which choices are still open?

Door type, insulation level, mezzanine, crane, and the party who designs the foundation are the usual open items. Leave them blank only if every supplier is told they are excluded. Volumetric modular construction and panelized construction are different supply methods and should not share one price line if both are being considered.

What should be verified before an alternative is accepted?

Match clear span, eave height, loads, jurisdiction, quantity, and destination. Read deviations in steel grade, coating, and delivery point. Accept a substitution only after the buyer writes approval. A homepage reference to a standard is not a current certificate for the building on the quote.

Price reading

Why can two honest quotes look far apart?

One may be a kit at the plant and the other may include freight and erection to a remote ZIP code. Taxes and permits widen the gap again. Normalize those lines before calling either quote high or low. This site has no paired quotations of its own and publishes no savings percentage.

Where should the budget sit?

An optional target can be per building or for the whole project, in a currency you name. It is a preference for the search, not a promise that a factory will meet it. High-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided describes the buyer’s appetite for finish and coordination, not a rating ForgeLink Sourcing has audited.
